One of the most beautiful features about Adobe Spark, besides how crazy-easy it is to create professional-looking products and the fact that it is free, is the ability to share. It is important that students have opportunities to use a variety of technology, but using technology itself isn't where it should stop and isn't  what makes teaching with technology transformational. The ability to share with others, especially outside of one's classroom and school, is something we can now do with incredible ease. I saw this quote during a presentation at South Carolina's 2017 EdTech by Greta Flinn, an instructional coach in Greenwood 50 Schools, and I think it is spot-on!

Adobe Spark is a wonderful tool for students to use to share what they have learned! Read below for a quick description of each product type and project ideas for each.
Post
SPARK posts give users access to images available to use under creative commons license or users can upload their own. The final product can be downloaded as an  image or shared via a link.

  • Create background slides to use in other programs like Google Slides, websites (like this one!), or WeVideo
  • Social Media Posts
  • Advertisements
  • 6 Word Summaries
  • Memes
  • Posters
  • Infographics
  • Quotes
Page
SPARK Pages allow users to add titles, links, photos, videos, and text. When finished, sites can be shared with others by publishing and sharing a link.

  • Post and share digital products
  • Informational site
  • Announcements or need-to-know information (great for clubs!)
  • Book or School Report
  • Newsletter

Video
SPARK Videos allow users to pick a template and add a title, text, pictures, video, music, and narration. Final products can be shared via a link or downloaded to a device for viewing offline or to be uploaded and used in other apps.
  • Public service announcements
  • Infomercials
  • Book Trailers
  • Interviews and documentaries
  • Retelling a story
  • Self-produced fictional work
  • Share memories and ideas (like from a field trip or the end of a school year)
