Students really enjoyed this activity, and it is awesome to see them practicing so many 21st century skills in one lesson!
Mrs. Susan Douglas at Honea Path Middle School has her eighth grade students using a variety of technology! Using an app called Tellagami (available for apple and android), students recorded short, 90 second, animated videos reviewing one of their favorite books. Students then used Google Drive to get the videos off their iPad so they could share them with others. They were able to do this by creating shareable link that they turned into a QR code using Kaywa, a free, online QR code generator. Lastly, they took the QR code and pasted it into a word document where they added pictures of a monster holding the book they were reviewing, along with text (see below). These were printed out and displayed outside their classroom. Students really enjoyed this activity, and it is awesome to see them practicing so many 21st century skills in one lesson!
